Retreat with Ajahn Brahmali in Poland: 15-18 june 2025 r.
Retreat with Ajahn Brahmali in Poland: „Prison or freedom: the choice is yours.”
Teacher: Ajahn Brahmali
Date: 15-18 June 2025 r
Retreat language: English
Ajahn Brahmali’s clear and thoughtful talks make the teachings of the Buddha easily accessible to all. As his teachings and Sutta Retreats in Australia were getting more and more popular over the years and as the word about him spread, he started to travel to Singapore, Indonesia and Sri Lanka recently to share his knowledge and experience.
Start and ending:
Please come to the Oddechowo Center on June 15 (Sunday) between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The retreat ends at approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 18 (Wednesday).

You can get to Oddechowo by car or train from Warszawa Wileńska – Urle (52 min). The URLE station is a 6-minute walk from the resort.
ODDECHOWO Development Center: prof. Jana Nielubowicza 6, 05-281 Borzymy

– Basic personal hygiene items.
– Towels are available on site.
– Earplugs (in case of problems with falling asleep if you’re sharing a room with someone).
– Regarding meditation cushions and bolsters, there is a lot in Oddechowo, you don’t need to bring yours. But if someone you to bring their own, you can.
What not to bring:
– Preferably don’t bring laptops, books, unnecessary electronic equipment, etc., any unnecessary things. Less is more.
– You don’t need to bring your own bedding.
– You can bring a phone and preferably turn it in for safekeeping or keep it in airplane mode throughout the retreat.
– Don’t bring psychoactive substances.
Valid during retreat:
Noble Silence: From the formal beginning of the Noble Silence until its formal end, Retreat participants should not talk to each other, including in their cottages. You will be able to ask questions during the Q&A session and have personal interviews with Ajahn Brahmali. In addition, all participants should maintain silence in every possible way. Phones must be deposited at the time of the event or used only in airplane mode. Exceptions to these rules should be discussed with the organizers. In practice, this means that not a word should be said during the period of noble silence, except for questions and answers and personal interviews. If someone, despite warnings from the organizers, often breaks this rule, they may be expelled from the retreat and excluded from subsequent retreats organized by us. The reason we take such a strong approach to this is because we have learned from experience that this is the only way to ensure that all participants adhere to this principle.
The noble silence will begin around 5 p.m. on the first day and will end at the end of the retreat (announced by Ajahn or the organizers at the retreat).
Remaining rules (8 Buddhist precepts, or 7 for people who want to eat supper):
- Do not harm/kill any sentient being
- Do not take what is not given
